Welsh soprano Charlotte Forfar Sister Catherine is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where she completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Opera Performance with Distinction, following undergraduate and postgraduate studies, both awarded with the highest honours.

Charlotte has performed with companies including Welsh National Opera, Dorset Opera Festival, NEW Sinfonia and Saffron Opera Group. Recent engagements include performing the role of Doreen in Jonathan Guy’s Gresford:Up From Underground, an Ivor Novello Award-nominated opera, with NEW Sinfonia, covering Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Saffron Opera Group, and performing the role of First Bridesmaid in Le Nozze di Figaro. Her repertoire includes Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Elle (La Voix Humaine), Zweite Knabe (Die Zauberflöte), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni).

Alongside her operatic work, Charlotte has performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC National Chorus of Wales as part of the BBC Proms, appeared as a featured soloist at the Last Night of the BBC Proms in the Park, and performed at the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Festival.

A recipient of the Adelina Patti Prize, the Dame Shirley Bassey Award and the Dorothy Davies Ingram Award, Charlotte has been praised by Seen and Heard International for the “bell-like clarity” of her voice.
