Welsh soprano Fflur Wyn Blanche de la Force has appeared in leading and diverse roles across many European houses. This includes 1st Niece (Peter Grimes) for Royal Danish Opera; Jemmy (Guillaume Tell), Iphis (Jephtha), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Dorinda (Orlando) for Welsh National Opera; Pamina (Die Zauberflote), Vivetta (L’Arlesiana), Alice (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) and the title role in Lakmé for Opera Holland Park; Malinka/Etherea/Kunka (The Adventures of Mr Brouček) for Grange Park Opera; La Plus Jeune Fille (Au Monde) for La Monnaie; Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia) for Potsdamer Winteroper); Waldvogel (Siegfried) for Longborough Festival Opera); Eislena (Rodrigo for Göttingen International Handel Festival and Celia (Lucio Silla) for Buxton Opera. With Opera North, her wide-ranging repertoire includes Euridice Orfeo ed Euridice, Sophie Der Rosenkavalier, Susanna The Marriage of Figaro, Morgana Alcina, Marzelline Fidelio, Servilia La Clemenza di Tito, Blue Fairy Pinocchio, Waldvogel Siegfried, Achsah Joshua, Gretel Hänsel und Gretel, Clerida Croesus, and Sophie Werther. Other credits include Floriana (Zażà) for Opera Rara, Mimi (Vert-Vert) for Garsington Opera), and Nedda (I Pagliacci) with Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra.
Fflur has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Sir Charles Mackerras, Seiji Ozawa, Sir Richard Armstrong, Harry Bicket, Carlo Rizzi, David Hill, Daniel Reuss, Thomas Zehetmair, David Parry, Christian Curnyn and Paul McCreesh. She has appeared with major ensembles including the RIAS Kammerchor, Copenhagen Philharmonic, Cappella Amsterdam, Academy of Ancient Music, Gabrieli Consort, The English Concert, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and Royal Scottish National orchestras, among others.
She has also appeared in recital at Kings Place, St John’s Smith Square, Wilton’s Music Hall, the Howard Assembly Room and the Oxford Lieder Festival, as well as in performances at the Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
